The people are coming, the people are coming!

Norm and I are working really hard on getting our place ready for all our visitors coming this summer. Everything that has ever been on Norm's "To-Do" list is quickly being completed. I guess sometimes it takes a little bit of pressure for him to get his act together. As I sit here typing, he's attempting to hang our TV on the wall with Timmy on the phone to guide him. I hear something about "illegal" and "live wires" behind the walls. I just pretend I don't hear because you know I get stressed out about these things. I, on the other hand, am trying to remember where I put my extra pillows and blankets. It has always been just Norm and I so we had no need for extra things, not to mention no room! The good thing about living downtown is, I can simply walk over to the Bay and buy what I need: towels, pillows. No need to cook breakfast for your guests. We can just all walk downstairs and enjoy a nice Canadian coffee. Thank heavens for Tim.

Congrats to my boy

Last week Jonathan graduated from Grade 8 and is anxiously awaiting the start of high school. Can you believe how fast that was? Norm and I have always wanted to take on an important part in his life. He means more to us that he can ever know. Congrats to our boy. We are so proud of him.

We're back...

I know all of you are just waiting to hear about our trip. Some have even emailed to ask why I haven't updated my blog. I do apologize. I normally spill my guts but this time it's a bit different. You know what they say...

Whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!

Even Seyla knows that.

My Fobulous Friend

Last Saturday, Sally and her family celebrated their 25th year as Canadians. Woo hoo! Just wanted to share these pictures of my Fobulous friend.

Is it Monday already?

I can't believe it's Monday morning. This weekend was once again fun filled. On Friday, Norm and I walked around our beautiful city trying to scout out some good dim sum places to eat. We found a few but thought we'd check chowhound.com first. It was a beautiful night to walk. So hot and sticky. I think I lost 10 lbs just by being outside. See, who needs the gym?

On Saturday morning we went to drive Francis to the "dentist". Turns out he was trying to surprise us with their new car! What a sleek looking car. After we all went to the girls' recital at Markham Theatre. Rayanne, Hannah and Selena all did an amazing job. I was really impressed with Rayanne who had the dance memorized and even had great facial expressions. Looks like she's ready for Broadway. After the show we had a BBQ at the Cruzada's. After eating...and eating...and more eating...we waited until Norm sobered up and we were good to go home. Whew, what a long and fun day!

Sunday was spent with Has & family first at Eaton Centre and then dinner at Wah Sing. Flo is 5 months preggo so she was craving for lobster...and then she felt like something sweet so we had gelatto. Don't mess with a craving pregnant lady, that's all I have to say.

Happy Birthday Sal!

On Wednesday the girls were firing emails off to each other and one of the agenda items was Sally's long awaited birthday dinner. Everyone has been so busy these days that it's so hard to come together...especially on a weekend. So instead we dropped everything and went that same evening. Even Mae & Glenn came with the kids! Mae says it's always worth the drive to Wah Sing. As usual, it was a great evening had by all. Happy Belated Birthday Sal!
